Ratto Bros., Inc. is looking for an experienced Farm Tractor Driver to join our team in Modesto. You'll operate tractors and equipment across our Central Valley ranches, performing essential land preparation, planting, and irrigation work while maintaining our high standards for safety and agricultural practices.

Pay & Schedule

$18.00 – $20.00 per hour

Full-time, day shift position with a flexible agricultural schedule that may vary based on weather and workload.

What You'll Do

Operate John Deere tractors for land preparation tasks including discing, chiseling, plowing, and bed shaping
Use laser leveling equipment to level large fields
Perform spraying, fertilizing, and pesticide applications during daytime hours
Manage sprinkler irrigation, furrow irrigation, and drip irrigation systems
Wash and maintain tractors and equipment; lubricate and perform minor repairs as needed
Complete daily inspection forms and equipment maintenance logs
Learn and identify different vegetable crops across our ranches
Understand and operate ranch field valve and row counting systems
Communicate and coordinate schedules with your Tractor Supervisor to ensure timely completion of ground work
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) at all times
Assist with harvest activities, thinning, weeding, equipment service, and cleanup as needed based on seasonal demands
Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

Valid Driver's License (required)
1–3 years of recent tractor driving experience
Ability to work a full agricultural schedule with flexibility for weather and seasonal changes
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and team members
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with whole numbers, percentages, and fractions)
Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Forklift experience (preferred)
Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred but not required)
Knowledge of pesticides and agricultural chemicals (preferred)
