Accounts Payable Clerk

A well-established local company in Stockton is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support their growing finance and accounting operations. This position focuses on processing invoices, maintaining vendor accounts, and ensuring payment accuracy in a fast-paced business environment.

What You'll Do

• Process incoming invoices and assign them to correct accounts
• Track approval workflows and ensure invoices move through on time
• Prepare payments, support weekly check/ACH runs
• Reconcile transactions and verify data between internal systems
• Resolve discrepancies with purchase orders, contracts, and vendor billing
• Maintain vendor records, collect required documentation (W-9s, statements, etc.)
• Support month-end tasks including accruals and invoice validation
• Perform general administrative duties (filing, organizing, pulling documents)
• Assist with special projects and accounting-related tasks as needed

What They're Looking For

• 2+ years Accounts Payable experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• ERP system experience is a plus (SAP or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Good communication skills and professional demeanor
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently or with a team

Compensation & Schedule

• $22.00–$24.50 per hour
• Overtime opportunities
• Full-time, onsite role in Stockton
